I was able to download a complete '96 Repair Manual a while ago, thinking I would buy a 95-97 but ended up finding a one owner 1993 FZJ80 with 170k miles on the clock a couple years ago now it has 230k miles, is tired and needs a full rebuild and I can not locate a '93 manual. I would assume 90%+ of the content around rebuilding the engine should be good to go for a '93 1FZ-FE... am I wrong? The ECU + Exhaust are the big differences from what I understand, so no Joey Turbo for me.

The 94 FSM is the best manual to use as 93-94 are both ODB1 engines where 95-97 are ODB2. It can be downloaded from the resources section.

Glad you got the right one, motors have many, many changes just starting at the OBD & MAF/AFM changes.

You *can* S/C w/ some mods, not sure if same mods will get you a snail or if that’s strictly a OBD2/MAF application.
