Has anyone installed an aux. transmission cooler? Any recommendations on brand?

Hi there,
I'm just wondering if anyone has installed a second cooler for their transmission? I'd like to do this but am really not to sure about it.

Can you recommend any good brands or info on the install? Pics?

Any info is appreciated!

If you're in the US, then you would be adding a 3rd. The transmission fluid flows through the radiator, and then through it's own separate cooler. I've been thinking of doing it myself to extend the life of my slowly deteriorating A440

I'm in Canada, my rig is coming from Japan. Not sure if it has a single or two?

If it has the tow package, then it will have a separate, smaller cooler.

You would have to check if it has lines running through the radiator and then into another cooler it has two. If not you will only have one and then i'd say adding another is a good idea. If you already have two there was just a thread about this

No two package = no aux transmission cooler

What are you planning to do that would require one?

Long hauls and wheeling basically. I think it would just be a good precaution to run an extra if possible to help protect the tranny, especially in an auto.

I'll have to check when the vehicle comes in but I think I'm going to end up putting in an auxiliary.

If it doesn't come with one, I would add the factory one, works well and fits like the factory made it to. Can probably pick one up with all of the lines and mounts from a parted truck pretty cheap.
