I’ve been rehabbing my hard top. Stripped it all the way down to the drip rail. Now I’m in the re assembly stage.

I tried to put my big side window in with new City racer rubber. It not even close. (No fault to City racers product)

It would seem I have a “early” pre ‘71 top on my ‘73. When I took the window out they had a 2 piece weatherstrip. I just thought it was a generic replacement. But maybe this is what’s needed?

Can anyone clarify what I need? There is an old thread from 2010 with broken links to sources

I think you're correct, but I'm def' more familiar with the later one-piece style like on my '76. I know the early windshields also used the two-piece gaskets.

It does look like SOR carries the two-piece, at least to have some options.

Thanks all for the help. I’d like to keep the genuine Japanese windows.
@Green Bean , did you have to do all 4 windows this way?

For our 1970, I purchased 50' of 2 piece weatherstripping from DK Supply. Order Details: Two-Piece Self-Sealing Weatherstrip for 3/32" to 9/64" Panel or 3/16" to 1/4" Glass; 13/32" Wide Locking Strip for Two-Piece Weatherstrips - 50'. Price: $165.56.

Really good option, I can't remember is SOR had OEM side window seals or it's aftermarket. I replaced all my seals in May. (Corner glass & lift glass were aftermarket-OEM was NLA for pre-71).

I did similar to Green Bean; bought a generic seal with similar dimensions and made my own. I did this for the hardtop sides and corner windows. Can’t remember if I got the correct hatch seal or made it too.

We were able to use the original glass and OEM weatherstripping where we could find it. But for the hardtop side windows, we used the product that I sent you. I had a glass installer do the installation because I didn't want to risk breaking our glass. BY the way I have 2 extra side windows and a bunch of left over weatherstripping if anyone has a need.
