Hey guys, I picked up at 72 and have been going through it. I'm pulling the top off this week and it is really pitted. I'm looking for suggestions on what to do from here, new gelcoat? How far down a rabbit hole should I go?
It will likely be off all summer, so should be a good time to tackle it. TIA!

other option is a new/aftermarket replacement
 
That’s a new one to me, pitting like that in gelcoated fiberglass. Makes me wonder if this is actually coated with some type of body fill. Pretty consistent pit depths. 🤷

I was thinking the same thing. It looks like it was maybe hit with hail.
 
I think it's just staggering loads of UV over many years.
