Hard top ambulance doors with a soft top (1 Viewer)

Planning on restoring my 79 hard top this year and was hoping to save some time/money and switch to a soft top (leaning towards a Bestop Supertop). Can the original hard top ambulance doors be refabbed into the half doors that work with the soft top? Has anyone done this before? What do y'all usually do when moving from a hard top to a soft top with ambulance doors?

Either a sheet metal panel,tailgate or barn doors.
