I had my engine replaced about 3 weeks ago... every time I try to put gas in the truck..
I can get about .30 cents worth of gas in it at a time... if I just barely squeeze the gas nozzle.
If I can get just the right pressure on the pump handle... I can fill it...sloooowly... any thoughts.
I'm also thinking I'm going to have to get a drive shaft bearing changed... I can feel a rumble in the drive shaft at around 3500 rpm... other wise it's running fine

Have you asked the people that swapped your motor

Sounds like a venting issue...? Or they put in an EV motor, so you're not using any gas. Do you have to plug it in? 😆

Maybe these threads will help:

When I was changing out my rear shocks recently, I removed my spare tire and was sitting on the ground under the rig, with my head where the spare normally is. I noticed that I was looking right at the filler line and vent on top of the tank. Might come in handy if you need to check it out.

I see the hose protruding from up in the wheel well in the back of the truck... I could adjust it up and down... maybe an inch... and then I noticed when I tried to up gas in the truck, I could see the gas coming back up through what I guess is the vent hole beside the vent hole... so I'm guessing there's a blockage.
I've got to find a diagram for that... I'm guessing I'll have to run a wire through it to clear whatever is blocking it...?

The motor being replaced has no relevance to your fuel fill issue.

Either your tank is full and your fuel level sender is not working (not likely), or the inside of the filler tube has shrunk/compressed where it connects to the tank.

Did you read the linked threads?

Pull the vent line at the charcoal filter. With the gas cap off, blow through the line going to the tank (don't breathe in, obviously). If there is no back pressure, you are venting fine, start looking at the charcoal canister or the vent solenoid on the intake as the source of your problem. Also check for exhaust leaks at the muffler, if there is a leak and it's heating your tank, it will do this, too

To help you know what you are looking at under the cruiser, here is the fuel tank from my '99 with the lines identified:

Vilas- Fast Fill Hose is what you want to inspect

@vilasman what year do you have? Everyone else, does it matter the year? As in the stuff is under the hood vs above the spare tire?

Early models (98-02) have the charcoal canister in the engine bay (aft of the battery) whereas later models (03-07) have the charcoal canister on top of the tank. Early models are far less prone to fuel saturation from overfilling.

As for your other issues:

1.) I think you need to check the fuel filler line. It's highly likely the interior sleeve has failed and is creating a bottleneck. Has happened to plenty of others (read the thread that was posted above).

2.) When did you last grease the u-joints on the drive shafts? Have you ever? I'd bet you have a u-joint going bad. That typically results in vibrations you mention.

I'd also suggest inspecting the Fast Fill Vent. If it is obstructed the tank wont be able to 'burp' out the air in the tank and you would end up filling the Fast Fill Hose with gas.

Close but not quite on top of the tank its just a little further back: its located above the spare tire location.

^^^ which is why the spare tire lift mod is much simpler on the older junk!
