hard start on a 1991 (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone.

My friend's 1991 FJ80tends to take a while of cranking before it starts. It usually starts ont he second crank. We replaced the fuel relay (as was recomended here), but that didn't help. I was wondering if there is a check valve somewhere in the fuel line that may be at fault (releasing fuel pressure when the engine is shut off). If so, how hard is it to replace?

Search around a bit on this site. There is a known issue with some of the wires to the fuel pump relay being undersized.
