might be old news but its new to me.

just noticed that bc4x4 has voted on a radio frequency for wheelers to use and listen to when wheeling. this is what was posted.

After a lot of discussion (see: Off-road Frequency, Part II ** PLEASE VOTE AGAIN ** - Page 3 - BB.BC4x4.COM), we've decided that 146.460 is the default VHF frequency for off-roaders to communicate with one another.

So all you VHF owners, please program that frequency into your radios and monitor it when in the bush.

Boy, talk about thread revival!
I do have it programmed, sometimes I'm monitoring in town as well

I programmed it in a long time ago, and labeled it "4x4". I've yet to hear anyone on that frequency, have you Phil?

Only on days when there's a BC4X4 run, a couple of guys come from Richmond and I pick them up. Other than that, I hear chatter (in town) on that freq. but it's not four wheel drive related. Never hear anything in the bush.
