I searched but could not find anything relevant. Anyone got any comment on good half doors. I'm aware of the Gozzard - which would be light. And the Aqualu, which I'm sure are nice - both are expensive.
 
Half doors are expensive if you want them done nicely.

Tube doors are an option, then skin in aluminum and powdercoat.

Early doors (74 and earlier) have the upper frame as a removable piece. Those can be half doors using just the lower section, but you dont get the contour that most aftermarket half doors have.
 
And if you do the tube door and skin them, you never get the nice contours around the edges. At least I won't.

You will if you pay a tin man to do it right. Its amazing what can be built out if aluminum.

Here is a door built by proffits. Probably cost someone $3k to have these made and painted along with their restoration.
