H55F change gear bushes to bearings (1 Viewer)

I've tried searching but come up with nothing - has anyone changed the brass bushings on the transfer output shaft gears for bearings?

As I understand, later vacuum shift cases had the bearings, while mechanical shift cases had the bushes. These cases run different output shafts, but does this mean that the bearings will only run on the vacuum shift case output shaft?
