H to 2H conversion (1 Viewer)

Can anybody tell me if the H bellhousing will bolt on to a 2H engine? Also does the clutch assembly transfer??

I have a HJ45 with H driveline and recently found a 2H engine with an ARB turbo kit that I want to install

Very interested in what you find out on this. I have the H in my 45 as well and was just talking to another member the other day about putting a 2H in it.

So far the engine mounting to chassis on them is different But I have both now and will get them on the floor to look soon at bell housing pattern and depth

I don't believe this will work. I had one of the 2piece h bell housings and if I remember correctly it does fit the 2h block but the problem lies in the flywheel/starter. the H flywheel has a different gear pattern than the 2h. also the H uses an old school clutch design which you would not want to use. I don't believe the 2h starter or clutch and flywheel would fit in the H bell housing.

You could possibly fit the H flywheel to the 2h engine (I didn't try this) but, again the H uses a much inferior clutch. If the flywheel fits the 2h you would still be left with an obsolete clutch/flywheel and starter assembly.
