Hey guys I have been looking around on the forums for a little over an hour and we clearly have some major knowledge here. I am going to be doing a rebuild and AXT install on a 1980 H for a friend of my father. I have tons of experience with CAT diesels but none with Toyotas. My question is this....

What should I look out for?
What should the cylinder compression be?
What problems am I going to face?
Does anyone have pitures of their install?

Thanks for any help you may have. I know I'll get through this but its always nice when someone has already done the dirty work.

I know this is a fairly specific question but any help would be great. One other question is on these fuel systems how do you keep the fuel shut off when testing the compression?

Looks like i got impatient thanks for the help!

I know it can be frustrating when ur looking for answers now.The curisers who can answer your ?'s will surely get to u.There's lots of searchable info. here. Good luck with your project.

I agree with Moe,
Your questions are so specific to the H engine, which is not as common as the B engine, so answers will be harder to come by. I know I would try and help if I could, but I have never even seen an H engine up close.
Cheers,
Deny

On the 3B motor, you can disconnect the arm on the EDIC motor in order to stop the flow of fuel. Perhaps it is similar on the H series engine.
