Not enough done for a build thread (yet) but added RSG sliders and KAON pet barrier. Impressed with quality of both mods and both worth the wait.

I too have the RSG sliders, except angled up. Love how wide they are so you can actually get a good part of your foot on it to stand on instead of being on your tippy toes. Suggest adding some grip tape to them so you don't slide off in wet, muddy, snowy conditions. Not enough done for a build thread (yet) but added RSG sliders and KAON pet barrier. Best priced one I’ve seen in a while.dude please do. i'm on the north coast in ohio, but if its a good deal i'd be willing to drive
What's the name of the trail you were on? Will definitely have to check out.For nerds like me:
That canyon below me was the original wagon trail from southern California to the central valley. The base of the canyon, where it flattens out to farmland, was John C. Fremont's ranch after the Mexican American war. He got filthy rich supplying travelers for the pass. I-5 is now 15 miles to the east in the next canyon over, and there's a whole town called Grapevine that serves the same purpose.
My 80 series died on that pass. Along with countless other cars, trucks, wagons, horses, and asses. Tough country.
Right after tires/suspension, that is one of the first things I do, under carriage protection! Even one doesn't do suspension and tires, you never know when you'll be on a simple fire road that turns into being heavily rutted and drop a wheel in a rut and bang something underneath.Got out to Prosser Lake today with the fam. Some great trails and a s*** ton of dirt. The GX handled everything with ease but I wish I had some more armour underneath to tackle some more rocky areas that I didn't want to mess with. Great times!

It's the San Emigdio trail, Forest Route 9N34. Real simple stuff, could probably climb it in a sports car. There's a route from there down the ridge to Marion Campground that looks like a good challenge for a stock GX (22W12). It's rated Blue Square, which is usually possible in this area, but I chickened out that day. If you go, be a pal and scout that out for me, kthanx. What's the name of the trail you were on? Yeah, that's my turf. I'm up there almost every weekend if I'm not working.Just looked on Google to see where it is. I may have to do an over nighter up there also! Looks real pretty!
I assume it's U.S. Forest so I can disperse camp anywhere along there.
This is a PICTURE thread. So here are some pics of the areas above.Yeah, that's my turf. I'm up there almost every weekend if I'm not working.
Basically everywhere between I-5 and Highway 33 is pretty much free range. Check out Tecuya Ridge, Quatal Canyon, and the various spurs off of Lockwood Valley Rd like Frazier Mtn trail. I think our rigs can handle everything but Miller Jeep Trail, and yours might even manage that. Just don't hold me to that if you get yourself in trouble.
It's so tough to convey difficulty in pictures. Those two hill climbs on Frazier Mtn were super sketchy. But all achieved with a stock truck and questionable judgement.Great pic's! Looks like some articulation too!
I did the same thing for mine, and to check for clearance with the big tires. It stuffed nicely. It's so tough to convey difficulty
The pic from Tecuya with the rear tire airborne is a total poser shot, on the other hand. You have to work to line up that badly on the "gatekeeper" at the bottom. But I got a new profile pic out of the deal so sue me.
I was doing the same thing. Also confirming that one side droops more than the other, likely due to KDSS. It's good to figure this stuff out in a controlled space before finding out the hard way on the trail. Since I don't have a forklift or RTI ramps, this works.I did the same thing for mine, and to check for clearance with the big tires. It stuffed nicely.
Look'n sharp!Hey guys, new to this forum.
2012 Base 160k
