Eh, still sounds easier than California. Our rules are similar but the date is fixed at 1975 so in our case it's anything newer than 46 years old.Is it possible that there's ANYPLACE with stricter emissions than California????
I'd be willing to bet almost anything that a California car would pass. But you'd still have to go through all the hassle in your country to prove it. Then even if you did prove it, they may not just on principle. If they let you, then that sets a precedent for everyone else.
That said, I'd trade my California Lexus for that sweet Swedish Prado. I might miss my V8, but the grass is always greener on the other side of the ocean and that truck is beautiful.
