hey what sort of fuel economy could be expected with 200kw atw? is it any better? alot to ask but most power up mods on diesel equal better fuel economy at least in my experience

Are you sitting down? A straight highway run 10 hour drive. UNDER 10 litres per 100k's/233rwkw.

only for registered users .. :frown:

I registered... took 2 days... worth it yet to be determined... seems a good resource.

Once you start checking their info, you'll find most of it incorrect.
TBB,
What I meant is the site is a good resource. Aussies have been driving their oil burners longer than the folks in North America. There is experience and learning that has happened, that can be learned from.

On the other hand in need to ask you some questions. PM and email headed your way.

This is a new dyno we are using and it wasnt exactly executed correctly. The operator specialises in boosted petrols. The ramp rate is still set to 150 instead of 070. So the real torque is around 950. And he let the truck cycle down for way too long in 4th at 1000rpm which resulted in a skull drag for the boost response (like taking off in 4th gear). Its a manual and 0-100 is 7.5 seconds. It fly's upto 180kph.

Thanks for the graphs. Good result.

So what A/F ratio are you running? Graeme was running really extra lean for a towing tune, I suspect you're running a bit hotter for max power?
I put a A/F ratio on my wagon and found I'm at 20:1.

22:1 in the lower rpm and pulled down to 19:1 higher.

So how much boost are you running?

To hit 863Nm at 2,800rpm at 22:1 I'm getting ~36psi. 650Nm at 3,800rpm could be ~27psi. How close am I?

Not sure of my AFR's, but with standard setup except for EGR delete pipe, Unichip tuned by Graeme, 3" exhaust & 285/70 ATZ's I got engine corrected 181kW & 641nm with approx 21psi.

Finally, might be happy to drive a "diesel" cruiser with those figures :)

I thought I better show my face and say hello :)

Thanks Mark for posting up the dyno of that impressive 100 series. I look forward to further tuning. 22:1 - 19:1 is hardly a "peak power" tune, do perhaps there is 350whp lurking in there. I remember not so long ago I was targeting 200kW (267hp) lol

I would like to point out that Gturbo specialises in matching a turbo and tune for your goals. The only reason I get so excited about the big numbers is that it's been darn hard to get them. Now however it's there for everyone!

350rwhp is realistic. There is room for further gains in a lot of area's. Just takes time to get it all dialed in right. What would the torque figures be for 350 Graeme?

How difficult is it for the dyno operator to change the ramp rate to 150 and what would the result be on the shape of the sheet...

A laymans explanation of ramp rate and its effects may be helpful to the technically challenged, like myself.... :)

Parts fairy just showed up!

Hi Guys

For those that dont know me I own the 105 233rwkw beat :D

A little update for you all "G" has been working on a custom billet compression wheel for his Bad Boy 2 , I'll be trialing this unit next month when I install it , She arrived this morning although I'd to install it sooner I just dont have the time this time of year as i'm flat out so you'll just have to wait for the outcome

There was a flutter that showed itself at mid range driving and no matter how you drove and tried to get it to stop it just wouldn't go away so "G" worked on a new wheel , this wheel should make faster low end boost and still be able to run 36lb boost so fingers x'd the flutter will be gone for good

The wheel is more a conventional wheel more fins as well

Cheers Marty
