I just bought a single din aftermarket stereo to replace the POS double din that someone installed in my 2000 LC. The brackets are still the factory brackets, but the little bumps or tabs don't seem to line up well with recessions in the side of the new unit. Anyone ever just grind those bump things off the bracket to make a better fit?

I've filed, or drilled them out. Depends on having power or not for me.
Thanks. Just in case I am way too vague in my description, I'm referring to the little protuberances like the ones I circled in yellow.

What brand stereo? Grateful my new Kenwood double din fit perfectly.
