I’ve had my truck for about 3 months now and have been trying to track down a loud grinding noise that occasionally rears its head while I’m accelerating from a stop. It happens most frequently when turning left from a stop light or stop sign. It happens sometimes when going straight. It rarely happens when turning right. It seems to happen more when accelerating uphill. So it seems the worst condition is when the front-left suspension is extended.

The truck has OME 865 springs and newer OEM shocks in the rear. Torsion bars have not been cranked, so front ride height is stock.

The wheel bearing doesn’t seem to have any play.

I had a shop check it out when they did the T-belt job recently, and they could not reproduce it or see anything wrong when inspecting it.

Here’s a video of it occurring while driving. Here’s a video of some noises while I had the front-left jacked up and was turning the wheel by hand:

Any ideas?
