I want replace my steelgrill on my 89 model 75 series and upgrade the look with the newer one. Will the plastic grill from the later model fit?

Yep a 90-94 plastic 7x series grill with TOYOTA across it wil fit
95-99 with T on the plastic grill will fit
99-05 are the latest ones that will fit but they have bigger indicators/blinkers to go with the grill ,
if you put a post 99 grill with 75 indicators you get a gap between grill and indis

I'm also considering the latest 99-05 chrome grill for my PZJ70(1990). However, I was wondering if the fender template and wiring connectors would differ for the new indicators and what modifications would be required if indeed that is the case?

Fender bolt holes Are same 3 nuts for each blinker
as for plugs
the post 99 are differnt they have a extra earth wire , or maybe pre 99 do can't remeber . With my 75 series (pre 99) I put a 79 series ( post99) grill and blinkers in and just cut the plugs of both and solder the 75 series plugs on the 79 blinker wiring and put the extra earth wire with the other earth wire piece of cake
when I got my 79 series cruiser I bought after market chrome 79 series grill and blinkers and the dam 79 series blinkers came with 75 series plugs lol, I emalied the company didn't hear anything back

I am thinking about buying the black pre 99 with only the T . Do enyone of you know the partnumber for this grill? That will save lots of time at the Toyota dealer.

Yea that t came out 1995 from memory
so ask for a grill from a 96-98 hzj or fzj 7x series
