I picked up this 1972 FJ40 December 1 and have been tinkering with it ever since. It’s mostly original paint with a lot of horrible touch up and a bit of rust repair. I’ve spent numerous days buffing it out and on general cleaning. Mechanically it seems to be well sorted out so I’m hopeful I won’t need to spend a lot of time and money in that area Sometime in it’s past a 2F engine was dropped in it. My remaining biggest task is reinstalling the original front seats and steering wheel. This information on this site has been incredible, so helpful and very educational.
