What I will say is that if you believe aftermarket parts add ANY value—ZERO not one bit. That is why I jumped on this.

I’m pleased with my purchase and thankful.

I hope this is helpful—as I do believe it poor manners to ask what something cost (exception being your grandparents, who typically have earned the right to ask).

NOTE: I do recommend EAW and have/will buy more family vehicles from them. If you live close to Birmingham—worth the drive.

Artie,

Wow! Is the rear weight of 5080 with 40 gallons in the LRA, or something else? Thank you for the 40/45psi point of reference.

I don’t daily mine either and also only have a 7-10 min drive even if I did. This truck was definitely a pavement princess as it is ceramic coated and looks to have had 7 oil changes in 39k miles (including the one the dealer did when they acquired it just before I jumped on it).

After reading your other post, I agree with the hard work, investing, and absolutely wonderful wife point of view. My wife offsets the carbon footprint of this pig with her Lexus LS 500 hybrid, lol.

Looking forward to learning and going through all the basics.

400 pounds of that axle weight is the tongue weight of my camper. The 40g LRA , 2 jerry cans of water and the Dissent dual swing-out bumper with cabinet and gear plus spare tire along with arb drawers and more stuff in those, plus a few pieces of gear on top of the drawers… it adds up quick.

My wife also offsets with her vehicle… a 09 Honda Fit that she refuses to get rid of because it’s a manual and she likes to stay low key.

Not to derail this thread any further, but IMO it's such poor manners to ask such question, as is judging someones asking price.

OP - what a fantastic rig. Looks like a solid built with some top shelf parts. An adventure through national parks in it would be a blast!
Meh. It’s a car on an internet forum. People need to not be so sensitive.

The guys at EAW are easy to deal with. Almost bought one from them a while back, but someone beat me to it. Ended up at RMR.

Congrats on the rig, it's a beauty of a build and should bring you many fun filled years of adventures. I am curious if the previous owner was a member here, there's a guy that used to be active here that had a HE modded similarly and lived in TN, he hasn't been active in a while and it got me wondering whether or not he moved on and sold it.

I am wondering the same thing. 39k miles in 2 or 3 years is not light usage. So the previous owner was enjoying the vehicle and obviously spent some time and money with all those upgrades.
Did he run out of upgrades to do and get bored?
Or did he just find a vehicle he liked better?

And while I agree that asking the price is gauche, I do appreciate the OP giving us the hint that all those upgrades didn’t increase the price.
It makes me wonder that, if I’m ever ready to move on from my current LC to a newer one, that I wouldn’t be smart/cheaper to get one already modded instead of new (if a new LC is ever released in the US).
Though I suppose it might be tough to find one with the exact mods I would want.

Oh… and @Heritage 2020, beautiful rig!
Congrats!

It's always cheaper to buy one that someone else modded and I have done this in the past with other vehicles. But I enjoy the build process, the research, the comparisons, the search for parts, oftentimes I think I enjoy the build process more than actually owning and using the completed product.

I once sold an FJ60 that I had about $17K into for $7800. The market for heavily modified 4x4 is pretty small. My case may have been a bit extreme as the mods included a rebuilt (by me) Chevy 350. The guy who bought was a Toyota mechanic and wasn’t scared.

From a cost standpoint, I’d say it’s always better to buy a built rig if the mods are what you want and you can assess how well the install was done or can accept working out some bugs your self.

OP, you have a beautiful rig. Congrats! The only thing that matters is that YOU are happy with it.

@Heritage 2020 - Welcome from Collierville! I think I saw you around town yesterday. I'm driving a Black 200. I'll send you a DM.

Nice rig @Heritage 2020, enjoy it and welcome to the forum.
