Looks awesome. Your description of your love of 80's is similar to mine. Its handy when your childhood dream car is actually obtainable. I have heavy dobinson's coils on mine and dealt with the stinkbug look until I put a rear bumper with spare tire and a drawer system in mine. No more stinkbug.

You got that right, thank goodness I didn't fall in love with a Lamborghini or Ferrari lol. That's awesome. It gives me hope that my heavy rear bumper plus a 35 MT will level mine out.

It was at my daughter's school during the morning drop-offs. I pulled up behind this beautiful Forest Green Land Cruiser (probably a 1994) and just fell in love with the curves, the roof rack, the classy look, just the whole thing. I didn't really know much about cars back then, but I knew I wanted one. Now, I have a 1994 Land Cruiser, which I had seen a year before when I was looking for a 2nd vehicle. About a year later, I bought the same car from the same used car dealer. I wanted a 1995 or later, but the sales guy told me to get it since the previous owners really took care of it. He was right. Such a great vehicle. It's my daily driver and family snowboarding trips to Tahoe. I want to restore it back to when it was new, with new seats, LX470 wood door inserts, speakers, stereo hidden in the glove compartment, really keeping the original look with a few upgrades. And will never sell it.

That's what's it's all about, how these vehicles pulled us in. I know when I saw that Land Cruiser drive by when I was 8, I had no idea how badass it was, but I knew I had to have it when I got older! Congrats on yours!

why do you feel the need to change the wheels ?

the OEM wheels are the ones that look best on the truck, so just get the tires that fit - we just recently got Procomps from 4 Wheel Parts for the '93 ('72 and '97 soon to follow to keep them all interchangeable), and they look fine - but much more importantly, they wheel good :steer:

Honestly I don't know. I do like the OEM ones, but I've had them for so long. I think I just want something new. I'll stick with them until I find exactly what I'm looking for.

if you want something new, get sliders

I ended up getting the Black Rock Yuma Series 908b wheels (link here Black Rock 908B786045: Yuma Series 908B Wheel Size: 17" x 8" | JEGS). The specs are identical to OEM, but are slightly larger at 17 inches, which find helps make up for and looks better with the larger sized tires. They are 0 offset (not negative as you mentioned).

Nice looking rig. Develop a build plan so your mods are thought out in advance. Then drive it and keep driving it. Modify as able.

Thanks. I've been driving it stock for 5 years, I was finally able to make a mod list this summer. So far so good.

That's a nice looking wheel, but I'm looking to stay at 16. I already bought my tires brand new last week so I cant go up in size anyway. But thanks for the tip 🤙

They are next on the list, my friend. Got any recommendations?

we have MetalTech on the LX and WhiteKnuckle on the 80 - they work :meh:

No sliders?!
You still have time, if you order them this week they should be in for Christmas.
Time for one last major mod before 2021. LOL

Good looking beasty.

You may be onto something there 🤔. Lol I've spent a ton this year on the truck. Sliders will come in the springtime.
