I just greased all six zerks, I put about 4-5 pumps into the slip yoke Zerk I believe, and maybe 1-2 into the u joints...the second I finished the first pump into the u joints Zerk grease was coming out, so I'm assuming it was still pretty full? I have about 22k on the FJ....and others have reported "bone dry" so I was a bit surprised. Greasing the slip yoke is guess work pretty much...no grease came out the shaft, so clearly I didn't over-grease, but you really have no clue how much is in there. The grease that was coming out of the u joints seemed pretty dirty..very dark and liquidly, however I'm not sure if it's safe to keep pumping until the NEW grease comes out...is it? I'm using Mobile1 which is this pink grease that's very easy to spot (which is why I'm using it).
Also, is there any other points we are supposed to grease up?
