This a turn-key 2 owner, impeccably maintained 1997 (12/1997) 80 Series Land Cruiser Collectors Edition with professionally installed 2UZFE 4.7L V8 mated to the Toyota A343 4 speed transmission. Truck has 155,000 miles (48,000 on new motor and transmission) – This has been used as a daily driver since day 1 and has been perfect in every regard.

The truck is 6M1 Dark Emerald Pearl and is Factory Triple Locked. No expense has been spared with this build and Factory Toyota Parts have been utilized exclusively during the build and V8 conversion.

The V8 conversion was done at Slee Offroad in Golden, CO. The build was done with a new short block sourced by Onur from Japan. I also wanted all accessories to be sourced from Toyota and sourced the Starter, Alternator, AC Compressor, Power Steering, Coil Packs and ECU. The heads were completely dissembled, inspected and rebuilt with all new OEM parts. The injectors were cleaned, and flow matched as well. The complete build sheet will be available for review by potential buyers and just about every part is new OEM. You basically have a brand new 2UZFE Motor and Transmission.

The truck had new driveshafts for the conversion and have since been rebuilt again last month. The truck was also geared to 4.88 by Slee.

Thanks also to @Onur for all the help and direction with this build.

Along with the conversion the following will be a basic overview on some of the additions:

Wtf is this. This sale ad is from the twilight zone. What’s the price? Pictures? You posted it and it immediately sold? Is this a copy and paste from the original ad? This ad is annoying.

I'm interested if the truck is still available.

Interested but having flashbacks to a girl I tried to lay in high school...

Is this still for sale?

Looks like a copy and paste to me 🤷‍♂️
Never understood why Mud allows one to join and instantly post a for sale ad.
That being said I remember following the build ( previous owner )and it's one of the cleanest no expense spared build I have seen of 80 series

She’s sold guys. Went and picked her up and drove her home

This is so confusing..you posted to the thread after the original posting was already marked as pending.

Was purchased by @Slamfire94
Awesome rig and will admit the add on mud had all of the workings of your run of the mill copy/cut/paste scam but it actually did exist and is exactly the way it was when sold a few years back.

Ok, and where do you fit in the story? Not the seller or the buyer - but has all the info?

I’m the cruiser mechanic who saw and drove the truck yesterday as well as built and maintained the family’s Toyota fleet for years now.

Because he is a family friend and is our cruiser mechanic. He personally drove the truck and put it on a lift yesterday. That’s how he fits into the story.

Nice looking rig! The sale of it, as listed here, was a bit odd. Glad it worked out for you!!
