Im starting to look around for an inexpensive GPS. I mainly want it so i know my speed when im driving and it would be nice to plot some points to meet/find people and also to find my way back out of an area. Nothing special but easy to read and does not cost much. Thanks.

I really like my Garmin Street Pilot. I bought a second mount to switch
it between the 40 and the 60. Not to big but not too small to read.
The mounts swivel and tilt. A little pricey but I glad I sprung for one.
I also have a Magellan handheld with a mounting bracket I once
used in the trucks. Display was too small. It's now my hand held
and the mount is in my boat. Hehe,,,nothing like having a waypoint for
the dock and marina. javascript:replaceText(' ;)')

The Garmin eTrex models are the best bang for the buck out there. I have a Garmin GPSV+ and I love it, but it's not a low cost model, nor is the Street Pilot mentioned above - both have turn by turn navigation, which is pricey. I like the eTrex Vista 'cause it has a compass and barometer, but the other eTrex models are much less $$ with 95% of the functionality.

Shop on the 'Net for good prices. I like these guys ok: http://www.tvnav.com/
