How do I drop a pin at a GPS coordinate on a google map (or similar)? I can do it easily on an address. Google maps does not respond well to GPS coordinates or Lat/Long being pasted into the search bar either.

Also, what is a good site for satellite images/maps, the ones on google suck.

Its around GA/NC border (Cashiers) if that matters.

Thanks

Jon

I believe you have to create a Google account. After logging in go to the Maps tab along the top, then click on "My Maps" and then "Create New Map". From there you can drop in Pins and create routes. I've found it a little clunky but works for the most part.

Bing Maps I think has better images (especially the "Bird's Eye view--kinda scary!) than Google in most cases but it's a dog and sometimes even doesn't want to work in Mozilla. Hmmm, wonder why? :hmm:

Google earth has a yellow pin you can place on your map. Right click and you can start route from there or end it there.
