Got updated Nav DVD...now what?

My old one was the original 2006.
How do I install the new one?

Move seat forward, tilt bottom seat. Eject old DVD and replace.

Can’t bother to use the factory GPS. Is there any other reason to upgrade other than map update?

That was the first “upgrade” thing we did. Nav isn’t great but at least roads appear on the screen when we drive (the Denver area has had some development since 2006)!

I saw a video with a GX where it updated the maps and the UI to the newer UI from Toyota and Lexus. Darker background, round logos

I had an '07 GX and yes, when I updated the map disc it "updated" the UI slightly. That's why I was wondering if it did the same to the LX's.

I believe it also kills the ability/hack to watch dvds while the vehicle is in motion (not saying it is safe. Just saying )

I did it without using ignition key.
