I got the Goodyear Duratrac tires put on my 200 today, I went with the 275-70 R18's, I comtemplated going with the 295's but I'm glad I didn't, at full turn the clearance between the upper control arm and the tire is about a credit card, pretty much none, the 295's would have rubbed forsure! I don't have a lift kit and have only been on some basic offroading, but at this point it looks like they fit perfectly, no rubbing at all... I was also concerned because they are an E load tire, thought my wife might be upset by a stiffer and loader ride, but she can't even tell they are on, these tires are a win win IMO:cheers:

Those tires look great! Congratulations

I don't know what tire pressure you are running, but my calculations tell me that 40psi F/R are correct for that size tire.

they look great. I am glad you have that size on a stock (non lifted yet) any chance you can take a close picture of the front and rear separately so I can get an idea of the look/clearance. I am trying to decide whether to purchase 17x8 or 18x8 with +35 offset and tyre to suit - if I went 18 then that would be the size tire I would use.

Cheers:)

Nice!!

Here's a couple shots of the front and back, the front is a bit tight, but does not rub at all, at some point I may remove the front little mud flap things, but it actualy does not touch them, but it gets damn close!

That really changed the look of the truck in my eyes. Looks really nice!

looks great! did you change the spare also? any problems with fitting it underneath?

I haven't changed the spare yet, but I'm gonna chnage in out in the next couple weeks, not sure on if it will fit underneath or not, I sure hope so:)

My 285/70-17 BFG AT T/A's at 32.8" fit underneath with no problem, so I'm sure yours at 33.2" will also fit.

When stowing the spare, you might want to "nudge" it to the right so when fully stowed it is as far from the exhaust piping on the Driver's side as possible.

You have to remove the front keeper bracket to get the spare to fit. It will make sence when you try to crank it up. I have the same. And if you go off road and deflate, they really shine.

Hi Kreiten, Thai you very much for a quick reply. The photo's show exactly what I was asking for. It appears that even with a lift that would be the largest size without serious guard modification such as the Arctic Truck kits. If I sit with 17" I'll be extremely limited to tyre make if I want to fit something around the same size (diameter).

Cheers

Congrats !!! :clap::clap::clap:

I am still undecided between those and the Discoverer S/T MAXX™. I had the Duratracs in my 2011 4Runner Trail. They are great !!!! I still :crybaby: every time I see her in the parking lot as I sold it to a co-worker...:crybaby:

Congrats again, wear them in good health !!! :)

Your photos have the best clarity of all forums I've seen! Additionally, the least, or zero, distortion so that they are the best informative and the most accurate.

Damn, those are sweet shoes. Changes the look of the truck drasticly. Hows the road noise/cornering difference from stock?

I've owned proly a dozen different types of tires on my LC's over the years, and I gotta say even though I had read the reviews that said road noise was very minimal and that handling was great! (my wife is very picky about road noies and hates the rough ride and handling issues that mudders and other tires have caused in the past on our LC's) But in the back of my head I was thinking they are still gonna be pretty loud and "ruin the ride" a bit, in her opinion:) but they don't, I was shocked, if you turn the radio all the way off on the freeway with the windows up and listen very carefully you can kinda hear them, but's in very minimal.... Handling is just like stock, imo, simply put these are proly the greatest tires I've ever owned, and are really the best of both worlds
