It's been a mild winter so far, generally speaking. The mountains north of I70 have received tons of snow (I was in Winter Park last week--they had a couple of feet over the course of 3-4 days).

Here in Colorado Springs, we've had a couple of storms, but not large accumulations. Spots along the Rampart Range vary from a couple of inches to 10-12 inches. I guess it just depends upon sun exposure and wind drift.

The local club, Colorado Land Cruisers, had our monthly trail ride today. Schubarth Trail is nearby, and almost always has snow in January. Today was no exception. Partly cloudy and temps hanging around the 30-35*F mark.

TJ, my now 17-year old, was supposed to drive today so I had his Trooper loaded up last night. At the 11th hour (actually it was closer to 11:59pm!) he says he doesn't want to go. OK, I'm wheeling the Trooper!

So here's my video project, produced for trailsoffroad.
