Goose Gear 80: Question on Heater and Water Unions (1 Viewer)

Do you merely press the heater and oil unions into the cylinder head or do you need to apply some type of seal? Thanks, ahead of time!

Press and clamp? I usually use a drop of Dial liquid hand soap to motivate the hose over the barb.

I'm talking about pushing the unions into the cylinder head.

Those fitting are pressed in.

I would use some water pump/thermostat housing sealant on them.

Usually press fit is good enough, however I'm going to use some locktite 638 retaining compound unless I thread those 2 ports for AN fittings. Still on the fence for my head.
