Hey.

I have weird problem with tach.
It works only with very cold weather like -15c and lower. And only for some time (seems like something warms up and it stops working..

Anybody has idea what might be problem, and is it solvable on my own or is it time to look for another one.

I believe the gears are plastic. My speedometer will occasionally jump wildly when it’s bitterly cold until the truck warms up. I had oil migrating up the cable from the transfer case until I fixed the seal in the transfer. I’m not sure what would cause the tach to fail when it’s warm, but I suspect it’s a connection that loosens when plastic expands.
