Good blakc steelies?? (1 Viewer)

I have rockcrawlers on my tacoma but have never been able to keep them balanced. I want black steelies on my 60 and my girlfriend wants them for her 80. Do I have a crap set or does someone else make them truer?

It's more likely that the tires aren't staying balanced or one is oblong on the rim. Have a GOOD tire shop check it.

what size tire? some companies use a two piece mold on there larger tires (35 inch or larger)instead of a three piece. The tire can very as much as a 1/16 of an inch so balancing can be an ongoing problam.Also some cheaper tire companies use two piece molds on there smaller tires too.

i bought mine from Wheeler's Offroad out west...had them shipped east and put on my tacoma....couldn't be happier.

What these guys said. I have a set of rock crawlers on my rig and I'm happy with them. No balancing issues.

I'm running 31x10.5 bfg at's, 2nd set, never been able to keep them balanced. maybe i just have real bad luck with tire shops?

I've been running 1/8" stainless steel ball bearings with my 35" swampers. I put about 24 oz (way overkill) in each tire. I got them from ebay. Check out this thread, post 6 by CruisinGA:
