I've got a '98 Yukon with 100K. At 90K the "Check engine" light came on, it was a miss in #4. Had a tune up done, Cap rotor wires and those pricey GM Platinum or whatever plugs. It has come on 3 times since with "miss in #4",
first time they said faulty wires and replaced them, second time faulty plug replaced it, and today cracked plug and replaced it again.
WTF is the matter with #4 cylinder and its plug-eating problem?
It is a Vortec and has run flawlessly, so I can't complain except for this.
Thanks,
ed
