just out of curiosity has anyone had experience running a GM p.steering pump to the stock 62 p.seering box, or will it blow up(box)?

dumb question?

It shouldn't be a problem. The GM Saginaw pump puts out approximately the same pressure and volume as the Toyota pump.

thanks, so would it be advantagous, since the pressure seems to be the same, or stay with the stock pump and rebuild.

rebuild cost and bracket fab time is the key....I like the fact that any partsstore in the US has a GM pump on the shelf that works. Not sure the 60 is that available....but then again, I have actually shattered a few castings on PS pumps, so availability is critical :G

thanks again woody, I will keep that in mind, its getting close to rebuild time for the old pump and i was thinking that the 35s are sending it to an early grave. it would be nice to stay stock, but you gotta do what you gotta do. would mainly miss the word Toyoda under the hood. Makes me feel like the force is with me :D
