1978 Corvette, The electric choke was taking 15 mins to open and I was wondering how to test it. One post measured the impedance at 11 ohms, mine measured 12.5 ohms. I bought a new coil and it measured 8.5 ohms. If all is well, the choke should fully open in 60-90 seconds.

Why do you think it is not the coil? I replaced it and it fixed the slow opening problem? Pat
