Has anyone replaced or modified their glovebox strut?
It appears my "string" has broken and I can't find a p/n for this.
Depending on cost, I may just try and tie a knot in it and carry-on.

mine ripped i could use a new part too

Mines fine, although disconnected from OG owner. Minor inconvenience. If you do replace, also get the led bulb and change cabin filters(sprayed with an essential oil) while your down there. Also vacuum deeply.

You can just open the brass clamp a bit. Slid the string in, and re-crimp.

With the stripped out plastic lower glove box mounts (white inset square) and broken strut, it looks like a heavy hand or multiple cabin air filter check/change over the years contributed to its demise.
I am going with a new strut (55557-60010 supercedes to: 55557-60020)
AND save the original as a trail spare (j/k = /sarc)
