GL-4 Gear Oil (1 Viewer)

Good Morning Cruiser People,

I have been having trouble finding regular 80-90 GL-4 gear oil for the transmission and transfer case, outside of the astronomically expensive AC Delco stuff. Do you have any suggestions on where to buy some?
I have been told that the GL-4/GL-5 oil in 1 stuff is not suitable for the brass/bronze synchros. As I have read thus far GL-4 is what I should put in there. Anyway any suggestions on this matter is appreciated.

you can get penzoil gl-4 in 75-90 most places. I think also either redline or royal purple in gl-4 but I think they were more expensive

I run good old cheap dino 80/90 in the T case, but Redline MT-90 in the H55F trans. It's probably no cheaper than your AC Delco though.

Thanks for the info, I will keep looking, thus far my searches in my area have not been fruitful but I should have some time on Friday to search more in depth.

Try Napa, our local Squamish store has a good selection of gear oil, and is my usual go to.
