Apparently you have to fight to get home from work in this city:
Today, after a tired Monday, i am standing on the platform a the Gallery Place Metro. Working their way down the platform are two kids probably 16 to 17. These appear to be apart of the same group that always hangs out in the area and is attributed to many robberies stabbings etc. As they are coming towards me they are screaming at everyone and jawing in peoples faces from older women to the cute blond in gym cloths. Next is my turn. I stay facing the rails diligently playing brick breaker on my blackberry. This is when they start yelling "hey fatt ass" and "what you got you tall, white piece of $hi+ etc. Just wanting to get home from work, i completely ignore them as if they are not even there. This must have made them think i was a soft target. The next thing i know, the one kid pushes me in the back almost knocking me off the plat form and the other dives his hand in my back pocket and trys to swipe my black berry. To put it short, i snapped. I grabbed the hand in my pocket, and landed one of the hardest right hooks i have ever swung between the eyes of perp # 1. His nose immediately exploded and he dropped like rock. D-bag number two then takes a super slow swing and just barely grazes my chin. At this point people are screaming and scattering everywhere. I get ahold of the swinging arm and twist it behind hes back until i feel a pop (i assume this was his shoulder coming out of its socked, by the subsequent scream). However he keeps going. I get him in a choke hold and squeeze until he goes limp and plops to the tile. At this point i am like, well this was sporty , but what the hell do i do now? Just as they are both beginning to slowly get up, a metro officer come running around the corner. When they see this, they muster their strength and take off running. The officer stops at me and asks if i am ok. I go "yup im good" . Then he goes "thanks" and the three sprint off into the distance. My train pulls up, and i get on. I just don't understand people these days. They dont even act human. Let me end this by saying, i am not a violent person by nature. However, when it nature kicks in and its fight of flight, i go fight. Anyway, sorry for the vent, but this was a angering and satisfying episode all at the same time. One thing i know, i doubt they will mess with the 6'3'', 255 white dude in a suite anymore!!
