Gee wiz info.. quarter panel vents.

Is there a reason the diesels did not come with vents on the quarter panels? That's the most obvouis way for me to know if it's a FJ or HJ. Just always been curious.

Do you mean on the front fenders? If so, the FJ60 has a carb cooling fan that pulls in outside air through that vent. The diesels don't use a carb fan (obviously), so no need for the vents.
