I've recently bought a 2006 Landcruiser:

FZJ100L-GCMRKV
JTGHJ01J163008366
Engine 1FZ-FE
Color 3Q2
Trim FQ10
Plant C42
Tans.Axle H151F A04A 2795

Is there anyway I can tell what kind of gearing I have installed?
I will install 33" wheels and lockers, so was thinking if I need the gearing.. Do I? My application is 50/50 city/desert, and the rig will be heavy when I'm done with it :D..

I've searched this forum for topics on "Gearing" but couldnt find anything useful.

If I do need gearing, where do I purchase the parts from, are they sold as a kit or separate parts list?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks hoser, any help on the rest of my questions?

You can get 4.88 gear sets for the 100. The rear end requires some special work and parts from an 80 series. For the cost and if you're staying with 33" tires, I don't know that the difference would be worth it for you.

You could get gears here in the US from either Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters, Christo at Slee Offroad, or from ringpinion.biz on this board. All are 100 series knowledgeable.

Mago, I'm not certain what your axles ratio is but I have a feeling 4.88's would be much too high. I would contact one of those vendors listed above and also verify your stock tire size. You can also PM Saleh as I believe he has the exact model 100 as you.

I wasn't aware anyone, yet at least ;), offered 100 specific 4.88 ring and pinion sets. I believe the 80-series 4.88's are the only R&P's available right now...which need, in the rear, the hat & cap from the 80 along with the 100 32-spline spider gears, 80-series pinion bearing, etc. to be utilized...

I just said "can", I didn't say "easy". :D

I'd do the 4.88 / ARB conversion, even with 33's or 34s. Lower gearing makes it easier work for the engine and trans with the larger off road tires.
