I found a trade if the 76 Fj-55 canadian has fine splines. Any one know the answer???

He wants my 3.70 gears (86 FJ-60) for better highway and I want his for offroad. Hopefully we could just swap thirds. Troy

The older cruiser has coarse spline :'(. If I switch entire third members won't the driveline flange bolt pattern be incorrect?

I don't have a welder and I really want to do this swap at my house.

his fj60 already has 3,70 gears..........so why swap?

Landpimp, my FJ55 is an American truck with the 4.11 gears.

the 3rds will swap out no problems there, the pinion on the older (55) has the course spline so the companion flanges cant be kept but i believe they can both be re-drilled for the different bolt pattern.
