Gauge cluster problems/ Backlight LED strip mod (1 Viewer)

I decided to remove the gauge cluster and
I may or may not have disconnected the battery?

After removing the gauge cluster, I began working on the LED project to create new backlighting. I removed the two most outer bulbs to solder my LED strips to.

After I reinstalled the gauge cluster in the vehicle, now I am not getting power to the LEDs.
They worked fine when I had them hooked up to a battery.

I also noticed there may be a burn mark in between the amp meter post. It didn't smoke, or shock when I removed it. Is this a problem?

Also the gasket between the back plate and housing of the gauge cluster is dry and broke in pieces.
Where can I source one of these?

Any other lights work, turn signal, high beam?
Do you have a dimmer on the light switch. Is it on all the way.
Alot of the Led's are sensitive to polarity.

Yes, Blinkers work fine, yes I have a dimmer. I believe the switch may be bad. Before the install it was a little hard getting the dimmer to turn the lights even on. Had to play with it a bit. The LEDs are soldered to the right spots.
