Gas Tank Swap LX470 to LC100 (1 Viewer)

The quick question is... will a stock gas tank from a 2005 LX470 fit into a 2003 LC100 ?

My local mechanic emailed Lexus, and they replied the part number (77001-60880) for the LX470 is specific to Lexus and not Toyota. They did not comment whether the tank would fit the LC100.

The back story is that I have a 2003 LC100 with LRA replacement 40 gallon fuel tank. I came across a clean 2005 LX470 that I would prefer to have instead of my LC. If I buy the LX I would like to swap the LRA tank into it. I have confirmed with LRA support that the tank will fit the LX... which led me to believe that the stock LX tank would fit the LC... but now I'm unsure due to unique part number.

Think I answered my own question... 77001-60880 comes up as a match for both '03 LC100 and '05 LX470 ...so idk wtf my local guy had an issue with.

Lexus regularly sells items for a slightly higher cost than the same Toyota parts. Not likely they would want to share that parts are cross compatible.

FWIW, the MSRP is the same on both Toyota and Lexus parts sites... tho it appears Toyota has a discount going at the moment.
