This may have been covered before, but I can't find anything under the Search Forums.

Does the rear wind deflector have any effect on gas mileage? On one hand I think it would help but on the other hand I think it wouldn't .....

Any help or ideas????
Thanks...

I would think it's presence has a negligable effect on mileage.

Just a question...
What is this wind deflector's reason of beeing ?
keep the rear windshield clean? cosmetic ? wiper helping ? ...
Or only to make french guys having something to speak about ? :D

I think the main purpose is to keep the rear window clean. If you take it off and drive for a few days without it, you'll be amazed at the difference--especially in poor weather or dusty conditions.
