Gas gauge not working, running out of ideas - 99 LX470 (1 Viewer)

99 LX470, put a new gas tank in, gauge seemed to work prior. After replacing the tank and trying two different sending units, still no luck.

Any other ideas besides replacing the whole cluster?

It is probably the stepper motor. On my 2000 oil pressure and water temp stopped working.

The gauge goes all the way up on start but back down so probably isn’t the motor right?

Probably. That behavior is bit different than mine where both don’t move at all.
