Been lurking here for years, and finally bought a 1996 FZJ80r just recently, figured I should become a member and actually contribute!
232000kms on the clock, auto GXL.. been looked after well and she just did her first camping trip down to the NSW Mid North Coast to get the wife and I onto the beaches, never missed a beat (a roo however did not miss us, and removed my passenger side rear-door flare with it's head!
).
I'm originally a heavy diesel mechanic, and very much got sick of working on the damned things. Prices for the 1HD-FT are just stupid here at the moment ($40-50kAUD+!!!!) as well, so that made the petty-powered option an easy choice.
Anyway, looking forward to sharing some of Ollies (Ollie the 80!) adventures around here in the future!
