FZJ80 VSS inner seal (1 Viewer)

Hi all, cannot for the life of me remove the inner seal (90310-09001) of the VSS housing. Tried all my picks, xacto knife, even applied heat via a torch to soften it up. It's made of a tough plastic that is straightening my picks! Any suggestions, please? Thanks.

Got it out with MAP gas, never seen anything that tough. New VSS, still no speedo or cruise control. I recall seeing someone say that no cruise control confirms a bad VSS. Is that correct? Help! Thanks
