I received my new junk yard headlight today but the lens appears to be glued to the plastic assembly. Yes, I have removed all the clamps and top and bottom metal plate. Does anyone know how to remove?

Put it in the oven for about 7-10 minutes at 350 then pry the lens off the housing.

Then throw some biscuits in there too, to make the most of the warm oven.

Oven

Ok.. after heating and removing what do I use to stick it to the correct plastic assembly?

I think people have said before to heat up the parts again, and reattach them and it will glue itself back together.

Melt Down

OK. So now I know that the plastic casing will start to melt after 10 minutes.

If you are starting with the piece with the good glass first this is a good thing since all oven times/temps vary. I am hoping that is the route you took.

Also do a search because I think lndcruz or someone else shows this step by step process using Depo headlights. It would be the same process just using the OEM instead.

Really? My lower quality depo headlights were just fine.

I used a heat gun for more control of the heat.
