i have 2 rear axle housings one is bent so im converting everything to the other. on one i found this insert made of tin. it looks like a cone that would guide the axle shaft to the diff. the other housing doesnt have it. my question is should i use it or leave it out?

leave it. It is a baffle for oil.

Use it. Make it a LOT easier to install the shafts without wrecking your seals.
