What amperage are the Fusible links in a 1980 BJ 40?

Previous owner removed them, and want to replace them with regular fuses.

Thanks.

I think somwhere around 30-40amps each. Mine melted long ago and provided me with no end of greif. I replaced them with 40amp fast blow fuses which have worked for 2 years with no problems, and are just big enough to handle the short high current bursts for glow etc..

This look like a great setup for replacing the fusible links. Anyone know of a company that sells these fuse holders?

Thanks.

Got any pics showing this................Dazz

not here, but i can get it if you really want. Its just using 2 blade fuse holders from Jaycar replacing the 2 fuseable links. I'll get a pic by the weekend. I think if you wanted a setup like above you would just go to the wreckers.
