Has anyone tried using these on their trucks, it looks like they would make changing the oil a whole lot easier, or would they cause problems out on the trails if they get snagged on something?

It's not THAT hard to remove the drain plug. It just looks like a disaster in the making to me.
 
had one for years on my 40....had to remove it because of the new exhaust placement. never had issues, but my 40's soa and i never really got it into a situation where the pan would be close to rocks or anything.

drain plugs can suck too. never seen an engine do it, but i've seen repeated scraping on rocks unscrew a diff plug.
 
Why does it look like a disaster? Can you ellaborate a little on that. I've had one for a year or so. Good product if you ask me.
